For suitable locations, Desert Charge invests in the charging equipment and operates the charging service. Depending on the location, solutions may include DC fast chargers for corridor travel or Level 2 charging for longer dwell-time destinations. We work with site hosts to develop a practical arrangement for the property, without asking a small business to become an EV charging company.

Founded in Nevada
Desert Charge was founded by Scott Allison, a Nevada-based EV driver with prior experience building companies and developing products used by people around the world.
After traveling extensively across Nevada by EV - including remote rural highways and communities - Scott began researching the state’s charging network and speaking directly with site owners, utilities, charging providers, service companies, and public officials about the gaps that remain.
Desert Charge grew from a simple idea:
Important locations should not be left behind because they are smaller, rural, or harder to serve.
Building charging infrastructure that lasts requires a Nevada-based company that understands Nevada’s unique challenges, and a cost model designed for the realities of serving lower-utilization, harder-to-reach locations.
